Eduardo Salvio has suffered a recurrence of his ankle complaint, and joins Lisandro López (leg & knee) in the treatment room. Álex Grimaldo has resumed light training after his abdominal surgery, but is still some way from a comeback.

Benfica got back to winning ways in the Liga NOS on Sunday evening, delivering an authoritative display to beat Nacional 3-0 at the Estádio da Luz. Fans' favourite Jonas managed to get his name on the scoresheet twice in the first half, while Kostas Mitroglou added a late third. The Brazilian was awarded the man-of-the-match prize, much to his satisfaction.

On Sunday, over 56,000 fans gathered in the stands of the Catedral on a sunny but crisp winter afternoon to see Benfica defeat underdogs Tondela, with goals from Pizzi (2), Rafa Silva and Jonas. Despite the convincing 4-0 scoreline, the Reds faced some difficulties, especially in the first half, when the visitors managed to keep them at bay with a neat and efficient defensive display.
