Vitória expecting a positive reaction after Champions League exit

Benfica welcome Belenenses to the Estádio da Luz on Monday night, with the Eagles needing all three points to overhaul Porto at the top of the Liga NOS. Quim Machado's team are in excellent form, having picked up three wins and three draws from their previous six games. In his pre-match press conference, Rui Vitória promised that Benfica would show no ill-effects of their 4-0 drubbing by Borussia Dortmund.

Benfica claimed their seventh consecutive victory with a tense 1-0 win over Feirense on Saturday night. Vitória discusses Jonas' fitness and Ederson's Brazil call-up

Benfica will be aiming to record their seventh consecutive victory in all competitions when they take on Feirense in northern Portugal tonight. The newly-promoted side had a difficult start to the season, losing nine of their first fourteen league fixtures. However, their form has markedly improved under new coach Nuno Manta Santos; they have tasted defeat just twice in their last nine league games, and risen to 13th place in the Liga NOS.

Rui Vitória has made two changes to his squad for the trip to Feirense this Saturday. Pedro Pereira replaces the suspended Nélson Semedo, while André Horta comes in for the injured Filipe Augusto, who sprained his right ankle on his full debut against Estoril.

Álex Grimaldo (abdomen) and Ljubomir Fejsa (left ankle) also appear on the official injury list. Lisandro López has been overlooked once again.

Saturday's match at the Estádio Marcolino de Castro kicks off at 20:30 local time.

Benfica kept their title bid on track with an entertaining 3-1 victory over Chaves at the Estádio da Luz on Friday night. Kostas Mitroglou opened the scoring with a well-placed header from a Nélson Semedo cross, but the visitors equalised shortly before the interval thanks to a delightful long-range curler from Belarusian midfielder Bressan.
