Records tumble as Belenenses are swept aside

Mitroglou and Lindelof

Benfica dispatched Beleneneses 2-0 with a superb display of attacking football at the Estádio do Restelo on Sunday night. Kostas Mitroglou opened the scoring with a bullet header from Pizzi's 10th minute corner, his sixth goal in three games against Belenenses. The Eagles had plenty of chances to double their lead, but had to wait almost an hour for the second. Álex Grimaldo ran on to Gonçalo Guedes' clever reverse pass and drilled a low shot past Manchester United loanee Joel Pereira.

Vitória: "Luisão has an exemplary attitude"
