Danilo arrives on loan from Braga

Benfica have completed the signing of Danilo Barbosa da Silva – better known simply as ‘Danilo’ – on a season-long loan from Braga. The 20-year old can be deployed as a defensive midfielder or a central midfielder. According to the Portuguese press, the Eagles have an option to purchase the youngster for €15 million next summer.

Raúl becomes Benfica’s record signing

Benfica have broken their transfer record for the second time this year. After buying the remaining 50% of Pizzi’s economic rights back in January, the club have now done the same with Raúl Jiménez. Coincidentally, both players were signed from Atlético Madrid.

Benfica have sold Portuguese forward Tiago 'Bebé' to La Liga outfit Eibar. The Spanish club announced the signing on Tuesday, which coincidentally was the player's 26th birthday. Bebé has signed a four-year contract but the transfer fee has not been disclosed.

Six players have left the club over the past week, as Benfica continue to mould their squad for the forthcoming season. Nuno Santos, Vitali Lystsov and Daniel Candeias have been sent out on loan, while Bruno Varela, Fábio Cardoso and Pedro Rebocho have all been sold. Victor Andrade is also close to the exit door.

Óscar Benítez joins Benfica's legion of wingers

Benfica have added another talented winger to their collection with the capture of Óscar 'Junior' Benítez. The 23-year old has signed a 5-year contract, and is expected to spend the 2016/17 season on loan at Boca Juniors. The transfer fee has not been disclosed, but is believed to be in the region of €3 million.

Benfica win race for teenage sensation Andrija Živković

After months of speculation, Benfica have announced the signing of 19-year old winger Andrija Živković. The Serbian international joins on a free transfer, following the expiry of his contract with Partizan Belgrade. He has agreed a 5-year deal with the club, which lasts until summer 2021.
