Benfica B beat Oxford United today by 4-0 at the English FA headquarters in Burton-upon-Trent for a pre-season friendly.

The first game for the B team took place in St Georges Park behind closed doors. The first goal was scored within the first 5 minutes by Victor Andrade, who also scored his second before the half ended. Diogo Gonçalves and Elbio Alvarez where the other scorers to complete the rout against the League Two side, who admittedly fielded a younger side.

The U's coach was impressed by Hélder Cristovão's team.

"Over all it was a fantastic experience for everyone. Benfica moved the ball so well and were very comfortable even when we got tight but we did really well ourselves and there were a lot of very impressive performances out there."

Benfica B will now face north-west side Salford City on Saturday 25th July.
