Global energy corporation Repsol has renewed its ties with Sport Lisboa e Benfica this morning at the Estádio da Luz.
The Spanish company has sponsored the Lisbon club since 1986 and will continue to support Benfica for a further 10 years.
President Luís Filipe Vieira showed his satisfaction to BTV.
"To be associated with a great brand like Repsol leaves us really satisfied. We have history together, and who knows if in 10 years we aren't back here to renew once again."
Repsol Portugal's president António Calçada was proud to put pen to paper to prolong and strengthen the relationship.
"Repsol becomes more Portuguese with this new contract with a club like Benfica. I have been a fan of the club since I was a child and this is a huge honour."
"Benfica is a big partner of ours and this deal only makes us stronger, they are part of our present and will certainly be a part of the future too."
Members of the club will continue to receive discounts as Repsol petrol stations and have benefited with savings worth €3million annually.
