Benfica SAD published a statement via the Portuguese Securities Market Commission "CMVM" (Comissão do Mercado de Valores) of having registered a net income of EUR 746,000 in the first three months of the present season (1 July to 30 September).

The latest figures have a positive variance in comparison to the same report period published last season mainly due to the sale of Lazar Markovic (Liverpool), Jan Oblak (Atlético de Madrid) and Óscar Cardozo (Trabzonspor) this summer. A superior result would have been achieved if it wasn't for the forced acquisition of Benfica Stars fund, valued at EUR 5.9m.

Turnover increased by 25% to EUR 23.7m in comparison to last season due to higher gate receipts, sponsors, corporate packages and television revenue.

Benfica's debt remained stable at EUR 449.2m.
