Available in nine countries, BTV is being broadcasted since last Friday in high definition by all international operators, another factor strengthening the channel’s position as a high quality product.

Being a strategic objective to provide a gradually better service to the subscribers of packages with BTV1, which is accessible outside of Portugal, Sport Lisboa e Benfica thus materialises another step in the internationalisation of its official television channel, whose regular broadcasts started on the 10th of December 2008, under the name Benfica TV.

With premium contents since the beginning of the 2013/2014 season, BTV1 began to be accessible by subscription and to broadcast live and exclusively the SL Benfica matches in the Portuguese League taking place in the Benfica Stadium, as well as the Club’s sports sections and youth teams.

The highlights in BTV2 are the exclusive rights to Portugal of the competitive Barclays Premier League. The offer in international football is currently complemented with the Greek championship and the emerging Major League Soccer, the most important league in North America.

About a year ago, both BTV channels started reaching subscribers in Portugal in HD version. The same level of broadcasting quality is now also available to BTV1 viewers residing in the US, Canada, France, Great Britain, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Angola, Cape Verde and Mozambique.
