With many absentees due to the current International break, Benfica coach Rui Vitória continues to prepare and train his team for the following fixtures in the 2015/16 Liga NOS. Vitória has called up seven youth and B-squad players to train and work with Benfica's main team. Goalkeeper Miguel Santos (Age 20), Defenders Rúben Dias (Age 18) and Alexis Scholl (Age 19), Midfielders Renato Sanches, Diogo Gonçalves and João Carvalho (All age 18), and Forward Clésio (Age 20).
These players will most likely be included in the October 16th Portuguese Cup away match against Vianense. Vitória has yet to announce his squad for that match. Miguel Santos is currently the starting Goalkeeper for Benfica's B- Squad and has started in nine matches. Rúben Dias is a part of Benfica's UEFA Youth League Team and is also included in B - Squad. Alexis Scholl has played two matches with Benfica's B - Squad. Renato Sanches is also a part of Benfica's UEFA Youth League Team and is currently the top scorer on Benfica's B - Squad with three goals in nine appearances. Diogo Gonçalves and João Carvalho have been featured in both UEFA Youth League matches and frequent starters on Benfica's B- Squad. Clésio enjoyed great success last season enjoying a loan stint to USL Harrisburg City Islanders scoring five goals in twenty match appearances.
Benfica's Juniores travel to Madeira to face Nacional on October 17 (15:00 BST) Benfica's B - Squad travels away to Sporting Covilhã on October 20 (12:00 BST) while Benfica's UEFA Youth Team travels to Turkey on the third Matchday to face Galatasaray (13:00 BST).
