Chelsea one of the scouts in Luz

Representatives from Chelsea Football Club were present in Benfica's Primeira Liga match against Belenenses this weekend, where the home side won 3-0.

According to Portuguese media, the London based club were observing the highly rated Brazilian youngster Talisca, who recently received his first call-up to the national team.

Apart from Chelsea, scouts from Sporting, SC Braga, Penafiel, Marseille, Hamburgo, Eskisehirspor, Granada, Sheriff Tiraspol and Wisla Krakow made the journey to Estádio da Luz.

Jorge Jesus has named his 18 player squad list ahead of this afternoon's home game against Belenenses for the Primeira Liga.

Tickets on sale for Porto away

Benfica have begun selling tickets for the important match against rivals Porto this morning.

Tickets will start at €25 in the away sector and up to €65 in the central stands. The ticket sale is currently exclusive to season ticket holders up to 8th December. Members will be able to purchase theirs from 9th December and it will open to all fans from 11th.

Supporters are able to purchase tickets at the Estádio da Luz or designated «Casas do Benfica».

The match will kick-off on 14th December at 20:00 GMT in Porto.

Benfica prepare to host Belenenses

The Lisbon derby between Benfica and Belenenses will kick-off this Saturday at 17:00 GMT.

Jorge Jesus' side will be training tomorrow from 10:00 at the Caixa Futebol Campus behind closed doors to prepare for the 12th matchweek of the Primeira Liga.

Belenenses have had a very positive start to this season and currently sit in 5th place with 21 points from 11 games.

European loss no excuse for Jesus

Benfica face Académica in the Portuguese Liga tomorrow and Jorge Jesus aims to defend the top spot which has currently been handed to Vitoria de Guimaraes.

The manager refused to let the disqualification from Europe affect their preparation.

"Independent of Wednesday's game our responsibility is to win and work in a way that the team goes to Coimbra prepared to play well, like we have been doing so far in the league, which is why we are at the top. Our objective is to win and defend the first spot."

Benfica SAD publishes quarterly results

Benfica SAD published a statement via the Portuguese Securities Market Commission "CMVM" (Comissão do Mercado de Valores) of having registered a net income of EUR 746,000 in the first three months of the present season (1 July to 30 September).

Bryan Cristante under Italian radars

Italian midfielder Bryan Cristante, who joined SL Benfica from AC Milan is being watched by Italian champions Juventus FC, according to Tuttosport.

The 19 year-old youngster has not featured heavily in the first team due to the presence of Enzo, Samaris and Talisca in midfield, and Juventus may be looking to nurture him in Pirlo's role.

Benfica parted with EUR 6m to bring Cristante to Lisbon this summer.

Belenenses match moved to Saturday 6th December

Benfica's home game against Belenenses, which was initially confirmed for Friday 5th December at 19:45 GMT, has now moved to Saturday 6th December at 17:00 GMT.

Benfica's disqualification from European football after the narrow loss in Russia against Zenit was the motivating factor.

It is likely the final Group C match against Leverkusen on 9th December will now feature non-first-team players.

André Almeida renews until 2019

Benfica have announced that the club and player have reached an agreement to a contract renewal to 2019.

André Almeida has been a vital player for Jorge Jesus due to his versatility as he is able to play as a defensive midfielder and right and left back when called upon.

"I appreciate the confidence Benfica have shown in me. I will do everything I can to correspond to the faith shown and help the club that has always believed in me."

The 24 year-old joined Benfica from Lisbon side Belenenses.
